Minnie/Minerva--A Drawing of a Pet/Texture Painting

I chose to put these to pieces into one post because they are essentially the same. I first had to do a drawing of my pet--my cat named Minerva, or Minnie for short--before painting her on a much larger scale. I think that  the pencil drawing is much more successful because it has more accurate proportions and looks more life-like. It was harder to create the same fur-like texture with the paints as well.
